It was another dandy Dando Day on Friday last week. The sun was out, the air was crisp, and the team was fired up and ready for another phase of evolution.
For us, Dando Day is all about bettering ourselves to create the very best work for our clients. And for the month of June, we dedicated our Dando Day to upgrading our practices.
We started the day with individual assessments about our innate personal strengths. Using the Caliper Profile, a personality profiling tool created by our client, Caliper, helped us understand our unique capabilities and areas for improvement. And admittedly, it revealed how much some of us missed math classes from school (or how much we didn’t miss it).
Splitting into our departmental teams, we then talked about streamlining our work and making our processes more transparent for our clients. We looked at our current workflows and processes, identified potential efficiencies and defined steps to improve our vulnerabilities.

After a quick Latina lunch on Bridge Road, we jumped straight back into evolution mode for a refresher course on our reporting process. We discussed ways to improve our reporting for greater transparency and accountability about our performance for clients and us as an agency.
June’s Dando Day was a solid day of self-reflection and big improvements. But the greatest improvement we’re most excited about is for our office space! Don’t get us wrong; we count ourselves lucky at Dando. Our office is always open for a jam on our freshly tuned piano and a game of table tennis (just BYO skills). But we’ve decided that we wanted to make it a little homier – and more welcoming for our clients.
We’re currently thinking of bringing a little outdoor fun into our office. With winter getting closer and closer, we’re thinking we could do use a little indoor grass to brighten up the space. We’ve also considered mini golf, bocce and a basketball hoop (just putting it out there, Steve). The ideas are still in the works, but once we decide, you’ll hear it first from our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts.
In the meantime, we’d love to know what you think of our upgrades or areas of improvement. Be it suggestions on our table tennis skills, our client work, or processes – just flick us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
